School Facility Information
The library has been renewed and improved
As of April 2015, the library, staff room, and guidance counseling room have been updated. The three areas have been unified and are now known as the “learning commons & library.”
A bright, open science laboratory with an IT environment
We are strengthening the students’ scientific abilities by performing experiments and observations in three different science rooms. The first science lab has a focus on chemistry, the second on biology and earth sciences, and the third room, also known as the active learning studio, focuses on physics.
Installation of electronic boards in all classrooms
The newest model of electronic boards has been installed in every classroom. We are raising students’ comprehension by using digital textbooks and having more visual lessons.

Otsuma Ranzan Area Guide
National Women’s Education Center of Japan (NWEC)
Within walking distance from the school, study camps, international exchange meetings, and other off-campus events are held at this large facility.
This area is well-known as a natural habitat for the national butterfly, the great purple emperor.
Saitama Prefecture Historical Museum of Ranzan
This is a museum with historical information from the Kamakura period.
During the early Showa era, Dr. Seiroku Honda praised the scenery in this area and its similarity in appearance to Kyoto’s Arashiyama, and thus this town was given the name Ranzan. Cherry blossoms bloom in the spring here, and it’s a nearby area that students can stroll through.
